Online Safety at Cotgrave Candleby Lane School

We want to make sure our children benefit from technology and can use the internet safely and smartly. Our online safety education at Candleby Lane gives our children the knowledge about how to use the internet safely and smartly. Our children are aware of the possible issues and dangers of being online and know what to do to keep themselves safe. 

In Early Years and Key Stage One, we follow the SAFE advice which teaches our children to ask for support and speak to an adult if they need help online. 

In Key Stage Two, we follow the SMART advice, which recognises that as children grow older they're getting smarter online so need to be thinking more widely and more critically, but still with the knowledge that they should always ask for help.
