This term, in year 1, we will be covering the following Power Maths units:

• Unit 1: Number to 10
• Unit 2: Part Whole within 10
• Unit 3: Addition within 10
• Unit 4: Subtraction within 10
• Unit 5: 2D and 3D Shapes

A big focus for us in Year 1, this term, is understanding the composition of numbers up to 20. To support your child with their learning in Year 1 we recommend accessing Numbots and 1 minute maths (see below links). These are both brilliant apps designed to support children in becoming fluent with key number facts. Another way to provide your child with an opportunity to practise their knowledge is to make number bond flashcards at home and revisit them often.
