RISE Reception Network
We are proud to be a lead school for the RISE Reception Network programme, an initiative aimed at improving the quality of the reception year and supporting more children to begin school ready to thrive. We are looking forward to starting work with a range of schools across the region throughout the 2026 Summer term.
Our second half‑termly EYFS Virtual Network Meeting will provide an opportunity to connect with fellow practitioners, share ideas, and explore effective, evidence‑informed practice within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The network will focus on:
- Updates on the DfE Reception Improvement Offer, including new opportunities available this year.
- Reflection on the Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA), including challenges, solutions and what the outcomes can tell us about incoming cohorts.
- Discussion around transition into Reception, with opportunities to share effective approaches used to support children and families.
- Local updates and network discussion, including the sharing of effective practice.
