This term, our enquiry question is: Are all changes for the better?

The children will be thinking about this question in lots of different ways, including: design and technology, history and science.

We will be looking at how toys and transport have changed over time and deep-diving into the similarities and differences throughout the years.

One of our main texts in Autumn 1 term will be ‘Old Bear’ by author Jane Hissey and ‘Lost in the Toy Museum’ by David Lucas. In the Autumn 2 term, we will look at ‘Journey’ and ‘Quest’, both by Aaron Becker. These texts will support the children’s learning and knowledge in history, as well as being used to inspire their writing.
