Yr 6
Count on Me - (Wb 13th July)
Now the challenge is to sing and perform the actions with just the backing track.
Remember you can always go back and remind yourself by watching the films from previous lessons!

Count on Me (wb 6th July)
Whilst you have been singing and playing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', Yr 1 - 5 have been learning 'Count on Me' with Makaton signing.
Have a go at singing the words and then maybe adding the Makaton!

Somewhere Over The Rainbow - (week beginning 29th June)
This week we are going to start to learn Israel K's arrangement of
'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'. He was famous for playing the ukulele which is like a small guitar with 4 strings. However the chords shown on the film below can also be played on the guitar, piano etc.
If you were given music to learn last week, I am looking forward to hearing your progress on Wednesday if you are in school. If not, you may like to record yourself and send it to Yr 6 email.
Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Every Song Has Its Own Story! (week beginning 22nd June)
Hello! You have probably heard this song a lot over the lockdown period, but just like the title says,
'Every Song Has Its Own Story.' Myself and the Year 6 Team would like you to learn this song as it will inspire part of our leavers' celebrations.
Rainbows have become very symbolic throughout the lockdown experience. We also believe they are inspirational because they make you think about your dreams and ambitions.
After watching the video, reading the powerpoint and listening to the different arrangements, you may want to take it further and research your own song and the story behind it!
