Weeks 1 & 2
Its been a odd few weeks in the wider world but here at Candleby lane we've had a lovely time!
We have learnt about Polar lands and what they are like and what animals live there.
We have learnt about how animals keep warm in such a cold climate.
We have explored ice and snow in our own playground and make lots of exciting art work with cold colours.
We have practiced writing our names and practiced our scissor skills.
We have learnt a lot about Polar Bears !
We did an experiment to see how “blubber” works to keep Polar animals warm.
We put our hands in ice first and then we put our hand in a glove that was placed in a bag of fat “blubber”.
The children were amazed how much warmer their hand was in the fat!!
We all know that Polar Bears will ever be seen together as Polar Bears live in the North Pole, the Artic and Penguins live in the South Pole, the Antarctic.
