Look back with pride and forward with confidence

Week 7 - wb 8th June

On this page, you'll find different activities that you might want to try if you're looking for something a little bit extra...!

What have you been reading?
Choose your favourite book and give a brief summary to say why. However, this can be shown in many exciting and fun ways. You could do a video (email it to your teacher) and be a book report or interview someone in your family about their favourite book. Create a poster or do a descriptive piece of writing, be as creative as you like!

Things you many want to include/discuss:

* Title and author
* What is the story about?
* What were the characters like?
* What did you enjoy about the story?
* Would you change anything?
* What star rating would you give the book?

Can you find the strangest place in your house to read your book?

Take a picture and send it to your teacher. Look out for the pictures in the News letter and let's see if we can guess where you are?

Happy reading!!

The year 3 teachers have already been busy finding their 'strange' place to read.
I wonder where yours will be...

Can you guess where we are reading?

3) Design your own book cover!

Have a look at a few of your favourite books at home. Have a look at the front cover. What's on them? what have they included? is there colour? what stands out to you?

Baring all those questions in mind have ago at designing your own. You can do this however you want to for example, draw it or even design it on the computer. Once has done it email them to your class teacher. If you have draw it then take a picture and you can email that too. You might even be inspired to write you own story?

Have fun!
