Week 5 - wb 18th May

Check your 2Dos on Purple Mash to find writing activities that are linked to the Reading Lessons. This week our first two lessons are based around 'The Porchester Park Project.'

In the story, Freya had to work hard to persuade others to help to save the park. For our final three writing lessons of this week, we would like you to practise your persuasive writing skills. Can you be as effective as Freya? What skills will you need? Can you remember AFOREST? Alliteration, facts, opinion, rhetorical question, emotive language, statistics and (sentences of) threes. You used these language features when you wrote the letter to save the rainforest. Can you use them to persuade people to exercise, recycle and not drop litter?

Lesson 1 Writing - Can you write the conversation that could happen between Freya and Mr Reet?

Lesson 2 Writing - Now that you have read the story, can you write a Book Review?

Lesson 3 Writing - Create a poster to persuade people to be more active.

Lesson 4 Writing - Combine persuasive words and images to persuade people to recyble rubbish.

Lesson 5 Writing - Combine persuasive words and images to persuade the reader to not drop rubbish.
