Week 3 - wb 4th May

Check your 2Dos on Purple Mash to find writing activities that are linked to the Reading Lessons. This week the first two lessons are based around the final two chapters of 'The Settlers.'

For lessons 3 and 4 we would like you to have a go at writing your own poetry. We can't wait to see your creative poems!

Lesson 1 Writing - Describing a character - Linked to Chapter 6 of 'The Settlers'

Can you create an annotated diagram to describe Ash?

Lesson 2 Writing - Book Review - Linked to Chapter 7 of 'The Settlers'

Now that you've read the story, can you write a review of the book? Would you recommend it to others?

Lesson 3 Writing - Acrostic Poem

We are all thinking about each other and looking after each other at home and across the world during this time. Can you create an acrostic poem to describe the wonderful qualities of humans?

Lesson 4 Writing - Winter to Spring Poem

We are all going out walking locally much more at the moment and getting the chance to see nature changing all around us. Can you write a poem about the changes you have seen as the seasons have changed from Winter to Spring? You could write your poem as a battle with Spring being the victor!
