This week we have been reading the story
“We’re going on a Bear Hunt”
We talked about the family in the story and drew pictures of our own families.
We went on our own Bear Hunt outside.we travelled ‘under’ and ‘over’ and ‘through’ obstacles. We sang the song of the book and eventually found the bear in the cave!!
At the end of our hunt, we had a camp fire and roasted marshmallows! (All in our imagination!)
In the classroom, we got to feel what long, wavy grass was like and how cold ice was. We felt branches and leaves and thought about the dark forest.
Key Vocabulary: sticky, slimy, wet, cold, shiver, freezing, melting, tickling, itchy, soft,
We played with other ‘textures’ in the classroom too.
Sticky (chocolate) mud and gooey, wet noodles!
We have also made texture butterflies.
We tried to include as many different textures as possible!
I hope you had chance to read the F1 newsletter.
I look forward to seeing your “WOW” leaves.
