Activity 5

Maths 5 - 26/06/2020

Partitioning into tens and ones.

Year 1 - Week 9 - Lesson 2 - Partitioning numbers

This is "Year 1 - Week 9 - Lesson 2 - Partitioning numbers" by White Rose Maths on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

The final Maths activity this week focuses on partitioning numbers into tens and ones.  Watch the two videos above and complete the set questions.  If you want to practise partitioning practically you could use equipment, such as, spaghetti, bread sticks, straws for your tens and cheerios, raisins, peas for the ones.  Have a go at recording your workings out in a part whole model or using a sentence.  There is also an extra challenge set on Purple Mash.
