Sing in to Shape!
In our Sing in to Shape sessions we are developing our singing technique. We are learning about breathing, posture, diction and dynamics. We are hoping to perform in school near to Christmas.
Here are the backing tracks for the children to practice. Each child has been given a book of words for them to learn. If they are unsure about the music then please don't worry, they can listen to the tracks and learn the songs that way!
I have also put on the warm-ups so that the children can practice the lead sections... I'm looking forward to hearing them sing on their own or in small groups if they would like!
[Will play 'AKeelie(performancetrack).mp3']
Let's see who can lead this song in the next session!
Hey, my name is Joe!
[Will play 'Hey,mynameisJoe(Buttonfactory)(performancetrack).mp3']
We haven't learnt this song yet but you can make a head start by listening to it before the next session.
What Christmas means to me
[Will play 'WhatChristmasmeanstome(performancetrack).mp3']
This is one of the main songs we will be learning for our performances. I think we are all in agreement that this is a fun, upbeat song! I would like the children to think of some moves for the next session.
Love shone down
[Will play 'Loveshonedown(performancetrack).mp3']
This is another of the main songs we will be learning. As the children already know, this one is my favourite!
[Will play 'Stillenacht(performancetrack).mp3']
This is the final song we will be learning for our performances. It was lovely to hear that the Year 4 children learnt this song last year with Miss Waters, so they are in charge of leading the Year 3 children!
[Will play 'Ratherbe(performancetrack).mp3']
We will be looking at this song in the next couple of weeks. I think you will recognise it!
Let's learn to sing!
[Will play 'Let'sstarttosing!(performancetrack)(1).mp3']
We will also be learning this warm-up song in the next couple of weeks. Have a listen and see what you think!
